How to use the liquid culture: the liquid culture should not be used to directly inoculate bulk substrates, this liquid culture should be used to initially prepare grain spawn by inoculating hydrated and sterilized grains (e.g. wheat, rye, millet, wild bird seed). This should be carried out under sterile conditions. Once the grain spawn is fully colonised it can be used to inoculate a sterilised hardwood sawdust based bulk substrate.
Our Professional Mother spawn Liquid Culture are 2nd generation Mycelium inoculated from culture. Certified axenic mycelium on suitable media, meant for further multiplication. Each portion is double-tested.
