This listing is for professionally grown Grain spawn. Here at Foragers Table, unlike other sellers, we take deliveries of our Spawn, professionally grown on a regular basis for us in Europe’s leading laboratories ensuring its top quality and ready to use. Your grain spawn will be professionally packaged inside our sterile laminar flow hood using a heat sealed bag with a breathable patch ensure the spawns final journey to you continues at be the highest quality. Blue Oyster Qualities: Rapidly growing species, very high yield, excellent quality of the fruit bodies. Blue Oyster Characteristics: Appears as a typical Blue oyster mushroom in numerous clusters of fruit bodies shaded grey-blue (temperature below 15°C) to grey-brown. These are big, thick (diam. 7 - 10 cm) and short-stemmed. They are very tasty and preserve well. Blue Oyster Mushroom spawn should be stored between 2-4°C. Incubation Temperature : 20 - 22°C. Fruiting Temperature : 5 - 20°C.
Florida oyster Qualities: Rapidly growing species, very high yield, excellent quality of the fruit bodies. Blue Oyster Characteristics: , funnel-shaped fruitbodies with elongated stems. Their colour varies, with increasing light intensity and temperature, from light-beige to greyish blue They are very tasty and preserve well. Florida Oyster Mushroom spawn should be stored between 2-4°C Incubation Temperature : 20 - 22°C Fruiting Temperature : 11 - 28°C
Gold Oyster Qualities: Decorative species, slight milder taste, rapid production. Gold Oyster Mushroom Characteristics: Easy-to-grow Oyster mushroom. Due to their funnel-like shape and yellow colour they may remind you of Cantharells. Tightly clustered fruit bodies (4- 7 cm diam.) are gathered centrally or ex-centrically on a thin stem. For a maximum storage capacity they need to be harvested before the full development of the cap sides. Gold Oyster Mushroom spawn should be stored between 2-4°C . Incubation Temperature : 22 - 24°C. Fruiting Temperature : 13 - 28°C.
King Oyster Qualities: mushroom with thick-stemmed fruitbodies, entirely edible. The cap is grey-brown, 7 to 10 cm diameter with white stem. This strain is becoming increasingly popular in Europe thanks to their strong texture, delicious aroma and good preservation. The strain of King Oyster have smaller stems and smaller caps, the abscence of knobbs on the caps and the higher resistance to bacterial infections. King Oyster mushroom spawn bag should be stored between 2 - 4°C Incubation Temperature : 23 - 25°C Fruiting Temperature : 12 x 15°C.
Phoenix Oyster Qualities: Extremely rapid incubation, well-formed, very tasty fruit bodies, excellent results at higher temperatures. Phoenix Oyster Mushroom Characteristics: The scarcely grouped fruit bodies are medium-large (average 7 cm diam.), uniformly flat in shape and short-stemmed. Depending on the temperature, they are shaded light-beige (>12°C) to light-brown. They have an excellent aroma and store well. Phoenix Oyster Mushroom spawn should be stored between 2 - 4°C. Incubation Temperature : 20 - 22°C. Fruiting Temperature : 11 -28°C.
Pink Oyster Qualities: Rapid incubation, decorative fruit bodies. Pink Oyster Mushroom Characteristics: This Oyster mushroom thrives in heat. When over 19°C it forms numerous clusters of pink fruit bodies with variable measurements (from 7 to 12 cm diam.). At lower temperatures, colour and form deviate. The mushrooms have no particular taste and are grown primarily for their decorative aspect. The mother cultures, (mother) spawn and substrate die at temperatures under 8-10°C! Pink Oyster Mushroom spawn bag should be stored between 8-10°C. Incubation Temperature : 20 - 22°C. Fruiting Temperature : 18 -24°C.
Lions Mane Qualities: This mushroom species forms stemless spherical fruit bodies. They are entirely covered with long, sloppy spines (up to 8 mm long) which makes them reminiscent of sea anemones. The average size is 8- 10 cm, but specimens of 15 cm diameter are not exceptional. Lions Mane Mushroom spawn bag should be stored between 2 - 4°C. Incubation Temperature : 18 - 25°C. Fruiting Temperature : 16 - 21°C.
Shiitake (3790 Lentinula edodes) Qualities : nice shiitake with high-quality mushrooms having fleshy, large flat caps with a lot of white dots and firm stems. The strain has a short spawn run and substrates often produce huge first flushes. It likes colder weather, pins less at temperatures from 18°C onward. Shiitake Mushroom spawn bag should be stored between 2 - 4°C. Incubation Temperature : 20 - 22°C. Fruiting Temperature : 14 - 16°C.
Wine Cap (Stropharia rugoso-annulata) Qualities : The flesh of the wine cap mushroom is firm and white and makes a great replacement for meat. The flavor is mild and earthy, with a distinct nuttiness and hints of potato. Wine Cap Mushroom spawn bag should be stored between 2 - 4°C Incubation Temperature : 20 - 22°C Fruiting Temperature : 10 - 20°C.
